The Dodge Ram - Now and Forever

De Les Feux de l'Amour - Le site Wik'Y&R du projet Y&R.

Rams (the dog, not the truck) are famous for their massive, curled horns, which regularly weigh more than each of the bones in their body combined. The horns indicate status and therefore are utilized as weapons when fighting for dominance and mating rights. With a lot of fish inside the sea, modern man doesn't need to work as hard for attention from the opposite gender...but he is still equipped with a career to have done. So, when ram dealer Fitchburg, ma named their pickup following this virtually unstoppable animal, it had been clear this is a pickup that meant business.

Rams (the truck, not your pet) first appeared available on the market three decades ago, and they also were named as soon as the Ram hood ornament present on Dodge cars considering that the 1930s. Dodge used "150" to indicate a half-ton truck, "250" for any three-quarter-ton and "350" for one-ton, like the numerical system used by Ford's F-Series pickups. Standard cab, "Club" extended cab, and crew cab versions were offered in both 6' 6" or 8' bed lengths. First generation Rams were depending on the previous Dodge D-Series pickups but incorporated larger wraparound tail lamps, single rectangular headlamps and squared-off body lines. The interior was refurbished using a modern-day dash and instrument panel, and it even used a current bench seat. Inspite of the name, the Ram really didn't meet its name available on the market. Though liked by fleets, they sold poorly in comparison to the Ford F-Series and General Motors' C/K Trucks, selling just below 100,000 units a year throughout their production - something many attribute on the dated cab and chassis design and also the lackluster interior. But like anything, the Ram have their enthusiasts. And, many of them found aftermarket Ram parts what you want to upgrade the parts often low in manufacturer design. Of the many Ram parts available, one of several easiest and most affordable could be the addition of a performance-grade Ram air filter. Air filters allow air to feed the engine more effectively and they are reusable, saving on maintenance costs while providing a boost for your fuel efficiency of merely one - 3 mpg normally. Many Ram hvac filters are also available in a cool air variety, further increasing horsepower by feeding air from behind an air dam. And, for more bump in your intake, consider using a Ram throttle body spacer, adding performance by having a high-velocity spin imposed for the incoming air. For the people who've toughened-up the outer, a Ram lift kit delivers around 3" more height to get more ground clearance plus much more room for larger tires. Custom configured to every one make, model and year, a Ram lift kit is engineered to bolt directly to your stock suspension with no welding, chopping or fabricating required-just mount the torsion keys, spacers, caps or blocks, and you are clearly ahead.
