A clear understanding of quality parameters, the terminologies employed in textile testing equipments manufacturers and passing a certain material, are common very crucial and important for every textile dyer, exporter and manufacturer.

The Textile processor should be aware of the parameters of buyer's requirements in quantitative terms simply the real key usually takes necessary measures to achieve that standard. Textile processing is a vast ocean utilizing countless processes, chemicals, machinery and men.

A definite cut policy on Quality Assurance and Qc can be a must for any good wet processing industry. Starting from fiber to finished goods there are many inputs and outputs. A planned out qc procedure is vital to eradicate final quality problems of dyeing and finishing.

Such as the cotton fiber test - for it maturity, staple length, color, moisture content etc determines what quality of final yarn and thereafter the material, the unit is likely to produce. The physical tests for example TPI, Tensile strength, CSP etc. and EPI and PPI foretell the grade of yarn and fabric respectively.

The last quality of finished products could be assured if proper qc measures are adopted in testing the incoming dyestuff and chemicals regularly. The technique to do these tests is though not a complicated, an appropriate guidance is important.

Textile fabric or yarn before you go for one more phase of processing, eg., garmenting or weaving/knitting, must be tested for your required quality standards stipulated with the buyer. The tests like wash fastness, rubbing fastness, anti-staining properties, fire resistant, water repellent etc need to be conducted from the in-house laboratory and a prior assessment should be made before sending the product or service for Vacation testing.
