· The detergent is pre-dissolved

· It can be used as pre-stain treatment

· It is claimed to outperform powder

Cons

· It is generally more costly than its powdered counterpart

· It is packaged in plastic which is less eco-friendly

· Chemicals are added to create the liquid

Liquid and powder laundry detergents both have pros and cons because their cleaning power is very similar and even though some attribute the difference between the two to the additives that are used to make the liquid detergent, there really is no 'best detergent'.
