Call it what you want – whether electronica, dance, its dub, or rave music – a young American called K3vin Envoy is making music like you've never heard before.

It's rare that a new album comes along that causes k3vin envoy on itunes critics and fans alike to redefine genres and recalibrate their tastes, but with K3vins sophomore release, ‘Playground’, that's precisely what is occurring.

His style of dance music – what K3vin calls his ‘Fusion’ – has been whipping clubbers upward into a frenzy ever since he released debut record ‘Skin Deep’. That spawned global hit ‘When the Rain is Gone’ and supported K3vin’s rate in the DJ/producer pantheon.

But ‘Playground’ takes that foundation and moves it on in a way that'll possess the music world open mouthed in shock.

This can be music that almost defies definition. It is electronica, it is it, R&B is house, it is even rock. Yet it's also not one of those things; it's some thing new. The one thing that's certain is that it'll enable you to get off your backside and onto the dance floor.

That, after all, is what K3vin has been doing to people for a long time. Through his slick production skills to leading DJ performances in the US, Europe, Japan and UK, K3vin has demonstrated that he knows a thing or two about the best way to get people dancing.

However, this record will catapult the man to the stratosphere that is international.

‘Playground’ is the sound that will identify the following generation of dance music. It mightn't be an easy task to define, but soon it won’t should be: it will just be called Envoy music that is K3vin.
